A PLATFORM
ROOTED IN PURPOSE

MY BACKGROUND
As Detroit’s first elected Community Advisory Council President, I’ve built a life around service, empowerment, and education. From the classroom to the community boardroom, my journey has been defined by a deep commitment to people and progress. With a Doctorate in Counseling and Theological Studies, a Master’s in Education, and years of leadership managing major institutions like DPS and WSU, I’ve championed transformative solutions where they’re needed most. I’m proud to be a lifelong Detroiter and a relentless advocate for the hardworking families of District 7.
VISION FOR DISTRICT 7
My vision for District 7 is rooted in opportunity, revitalization, and safety. I believe in creating vibrant neighborhoods where residents have access to sustainable careers, thriving small businesses, and safe, well-lit streets. I will expand access to workforce development, skilled trades, and internships through trusted partners like Detroit at Work and DESC. I’ll invest in community-first public safety that centers collaboration, mental health services, and youth outreach. Together, we can build a resilient, empowered, and united District 7—block by block, family by family.
